Parnas HaYom

Parnas HaYom is a special program that allows families to dedicate a day of learning in our school in order to commemorate a yarhtzheit (anniversary of death), celebrate a joyous occasion (such as a birth, birthday, wedding, etc) or ask for a speedy recovery for a family member or friend.  Our heritage teaches that it is appropriate to use these occasions to give tzeddaka (charity), and with your participation in Parnas Hayom, you can acquire the zechuyos (merits) from our students’ Torah learning.

Parnas HaYom is a special opportunity to acknowledge a significant day in your family's life, and your tzeddaka will also be used in a meaningful way for our Shalhevet students. The money from this programs allows us to fund special Torah enrichment programs, as well as co-curricular activities that enhance the learning of our students.

Each Parnas HaYom dedication is announced to the students in school at the appropriate time, to parents in a morning email, and is listed in our Shalhevet newsletter.

There are three ways to participate in the Parnas HaYom Program:
  1. Daily Dedication:  Minimum Contribution of $100. Learning will be dedicated on the day of your choice.
  2. Weekly Dedication:  Minimum Contribution of $360. Learning will be dedicated for a full week of your choice.
  3. Annual Dedication:  Minimum Contribution of $1,000. Learning will be dedicated every year on the date you provide. This is a particularly wonderful way to mark the occasion of a yahrtzeit.
